Perception isn't always truth

In New Orleans I see BAM from Emerald Lagasse, expressing the power of the large personality of this area. Black Magic or voodoo that was depicted in the American Horror story Coven along with the strong history the show tried to portray, along with movies such as The Skeleton Key. Swamp People with the thick tongue making it hard to comprehend and understand the twang.  The shear devastation that was caused by Katrina, the forgotten people left behind.  The accepting atmosphere of this area excepting those trying to do good with animals/people that are depicted as evil in the series Pit bulls & Parolees. The festival celebrated throughout the world known as Mardi Gras, earning beads for boobies!! Is perception reality?
