Warm Welcoming
Walking off the train, the humid air hitting your face. The warm New Orleans welcome of the southern hospitality. Giving directions to hailing a cab, without giving directions. Its as if it was my idea, must be the charm of the culture that allows this. The cab driver was nice and the hotel staff nicer. The room was delightful and the warm shower was just what I needed to refresh my spirits. Jazzy pass in hand we make our way to the French Quarters on the cute little trolley, so many firsts in just one day. The brick paved roads and the houses with spirits show the love and hard work went into this city. The delectable morsels that entertained my mouth during dinner at the Pierre Maspero's makes for an original experience. The caramel on my bread pudding was learning some rich history of this closely packed area. How one could keep such a horrifyingly huge secret from all and be one of the most popular women in the area is beyond what I can comprehend. Also how she can still be affecting some big names such as Nicholas Cage in the present with her wicked ways of the past. So much tantalizing information in a short night. Makes one want to know more.....
