southern hospitality
Southern hospitality, something I have only heard of. Walking off the train, my first impression was humbling. Welcoming coming from all, no one is in a hurry. No one shooing you out of the way. I hate to say it because I am from this area up north in central America, we are in a hurry no matter what we are doing. We hurry to work, we hurry home, we hurry in the stores and we hurry to go to sleep and wake up. Its as if we are entering an unfound world, not one time on this trip was I hurried. Even the pan handlers were gracious and hospitable, willing to talk for a minute. Happy to shoot the breeze and help you in any way they can. Its shocking that everyone knew that I was going to New Orleans said that I needed to be safe because it is dangerous there. When you are in that area you don't feel unsafe, it is comfortable place to be.
